    "content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. I want to take this opportunity to pay glowing tribute to Mama Grace Ogot whom we dearly called Nyar Asembo. She came from Rarieda Constituency and was married in Gem Constituency. She was my representative in Parliament in the 1980s. She passed over power to my brother-in-law, the late Oki Ooko Ombaka. She left Gem a very well managed constituency. She cared for the children of Siaya as well as widows. She came up with a women group that was called Mabati Women Group whose aim was to build houses for women using iron sheets so that they could harvest water and would, therefore, not need to go to the river. She left a lot of development programmes in Gem. I want to take this chance to condole with the family. I hope that all of us here will appreciate the power of women, if they are given a chance.
