    "content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I also want to appeal to the Chairman of the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee to let us keep this clause. I do not see any harm in retaining it. The nature of this law, as it is, is both civil and criminal and we have to give it that space. This provision addresses that aspect. Many of the people who seek protective orders do not pray that the perpetrators of violence against them be necessarily held under criminal penalty. They just want to be protected and get a chance to reconcile their families. Therefore, this clause should remain as it is. I do not see any harm in retaining it. Since it does not do any harm, I beg the Chairman to let it stay."
