So, it has been a learning experience. There is need for Members to take Committee work seriously because that is where most of these issues of technicality and reconciling the law are done. Even if you are not able to be in those committees--- Although this was being handled by the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, no Member should have the excuse not to attend any of those committees anyway. Even if we did not, there is still the Report which comes before the House from that committee. Studious Members would look at that Report, make comments and, thereafter, make the proposals on the Order Paper. That way all of us are able to speak with one voice.
