    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I want to make a Statement pursuant to Standing Order N0. 45(2) (a) on an issue of general tropical concern regarding a symposium in honour of an eminent Kenyan scholar, Prof. Mugo, as she retires from a distinguished service of 15years at Syracuse University in the United States of America (USA), which I shall be attending at the beginning of next month. Prof. Mugo served with distinction as a professor of literature particularly, in the area of orature. She was the pioneer of the study of orature; that is, oral literature in Africa.
