"content": "Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, thank you for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this Bill. Let me from the outset commend those who started the harambee spirit in this country. We have seen a lot of good that has come from the harambees especially in the past. These include building of schools, clinics, supporting those who were not able to do certain social activities and so on. In some of the areas where education excelled, we know that many of those schools were built on the spirit of harambee. In the religious sector, many churches have been built. The religious sector is also part of our social life and contributes a lot to the nation and to the society. The benefits of harambee can certainly not be gainsaid. At the same time, there have been unscrupulous people who may have misused harambees for their own benefit. I think that the good definitely outnumbers the bad.
