"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I sympathize with the Assistant Minister. He has outlined the requirements for exclusive rights for gold mining. This company has been operating within Nyatike District without the consent of the county council. I have a letter from the Migori County Council and signed by the Clerk of the County Council confirming that they have never given any consent to the Mid-Migori Mining Company, which I will table. I wish also to confirm to the Assistant Minister and to this House that the company has never got consent from the land owners in Nyatike. I will also table this letter, which is signed by the land owners."
