    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. First of all, I also wish to congratulate the Committee that conducted this vetting process of the Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Boinett. Before I say much, I probably want to thank the former IG, Mr. David Kimaiyo for doing a great job in the police force despite the many challenges that he faced towards the end of his term. The vetting process is meant to instill confidence and a sense of participation for Kenyans to choose the IG. So, this process has been done and it has instilled some sense of participation by the people of this country. Mr. Speaker, Sir, the process of evaluating the degrees and the professional qualifications of the candidate is a due diligence exercise that has been done by the relevant offices.
