"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I wish to, first of all, congratulate Joseph Kipchirchir Boinett for coming this far. Whether we vote him today or not, he will indeed be successful because he will have got so close to it. I want to address the issue of suitability, capability and integrity of the nominee for Inspector-General. Whereas I do not have any evidence to talk about his integrity or lack of it, even though the questions on his academic qualifications might cast a shadow on issues of integrity, allow me to address issues of suitability and capability. We have set the bar too low for this particular role of Inspector-General of Police. Yes, the nominee has been cleared by the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB), HELB, the CID and The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
