    "content": "Thank you, hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I beg to move:- THAT, the Bill be amended in Clause 29─ (a) by deleting the words “ Board of the” appearing in sub-clause (1) ; (b) by deleting subsection (2) and substituting therefor the following new subsection─ (2) The Council may apply to the Cabinet Secretary responsible for Finance for exemption from payment of duty payable under the Stamp Duty Act in respect of an instrument executed by or on behalf, or in favour of the Council which, but for this section, the Council would be liable to pay.” (c) in sub clause (3) by deleting the word “Board” wherever it appears and substituting therefor the word “Council”; (d) in sub clause (4) by deleting the words “Board of the”; and (e) in sub clause (5) by deleting the words “Board of the”. This is another consequential amendment."
