Maina Kamanda, regarding the petition that was directed to the Transport, Public Works and Housing, Standing Order No. 227(2) (2), says; “Whenever a petition is committed to a Departmental Committee, the Committee shall, in not more than sixty calendar days from the time of reading the prayer, respond to the petitioner by way of a report addressed to the petitioner or petitioners and laid on the Table of the House---” Hon. Irungu Kang’ata says that he has a petition that was directed to your Committee, which has taken more than three months.
