Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there have been cases where governors have been invited to come and make presentations, particularly on the issue of resource governance because they have resisted coming to the Committee on Commerce, Finance and Budget. They have said they do not wish to appear before the Committee. If there is a classic case of the power that the Senate holds as far as midwifing of the Constitution and the devolved government system are concerned, this particular case establishes it.
