"content": "Hon. Speaker, the five candidates were vetted by the Departmental Committee on Education, Research and Technology. I would like to briefly go through the curriculum vitae of these candidates. The first one is Mbarak Said Twahir, who currently works in the Ministry of Devolution. He is in charge of performance contracting. The Committee found him fit to sit in the Commission and offer his expertise on performance contracting which is one of the challenges that the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has been facing. He satisfied on the issues that we were looking at, starting from merit and integrity. He has cleared with Higher Education Loans Board (HELB). He satisfied the Committee that he is able to do the job. He will also represent Persons with Disabilities at that level."
