    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, indeed, people were hired from Vihiga, Mwingi and even Nyeri. You find that the company policy, as I indicated earlier on, is that it will recruit people who reflect the face of the country. Emphasis was placed on the company policy which says that people from the areas where sugar cane is grown will be given priority. Indeed, almost 30 per cent of the employees were taken from the sugar belt. Seventy per cent of the employees come from the rest of Kenya. We consider that this is fair. You should also consider that there are managers who had been recruited earlier on, and the majority of them are from western Kenya, where sugar cane is grown."
