"content": "unprecedented concern, and that is why we have brought here this unsolicited Ministerial Statement. Secondly, yes we have plans to honour our athletes. Very soon, this House will debate the Sports Bill, which enumerates institutions and programmes that will be put in place, including talent harvest and promotion, and infrastructure for financing a proposed Sports Finance Trust Fund (SFTF), so that we can finance sports individuals in a competitive way, and make sports a business. Lastly, recently Eng. Gumbo, the Member for Rarieda, brought here a Motion which was unanimously passed by this House. It was that we take steps, as a Government, through my Ministry to award our past heroes in terms of those who have performed for this country in the area of sports. Therefore, I look forward to participation and support when we table the proposed historic Sports Bill to revolutionize sports in this country."
