    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir. I support this Bill on The Environment Management and Co-ordination (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No.31 of 2014). I have looked at the Memorandum of Objects and Reasons for this amendment. Mainly it is to make provisions for the current environmental management and co-ordination Act to realign itself to the current Constitution. It also enhances the penalties for people who willfully pollute the environment. The environment is life and so, there is need to consolidate all the laws that manage the environment.
