    "content": "Thank you, hon. Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity to contribute to this very important Motion. I want to state from the outset that the President made a very important speech. Implicit in that speech are good intentions. However, the taste of the pudding is in the eating. So, what really matters is the actions that will follow to make these good intentions become a reality. On the issue of historical injustices, it is a fact that dispossession of land is one of the major historical injustices in this country and, perhaps, second only to assassinations. We are being told that the President has set aside some Kshs10 billion over a period of three years. That will be used to compensate those who have suffered atrocities of one kind or another.
