    "content": "The object of this amendment, and in recognition of the independence of the Office of Auditor-General, is to remove the provisions that had been put in the Bill that require that the appointment of staff or creation of the structure of the Office of the Auditor-General should be done in consultation with the Public Service Commission (PSC). That Office should be independent. We are deleting anything in that clause that is subjecting the Office of the Auditor-General to the PSC to improve the independence of the Office."
