Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, clause 17 of the Bill be amended— (a) in subclause (1) by deleting the words ―and the Auditor-General may appoint such staff subject to Article 234 (5) of the Constitution‖ appearing immediately after the words ―Salaries and Remuneration Commission‖ and substituting therefor ―and subject to Article 230 of the Constitution‖; (b) in subclause (2) by deleting the words ― under this Act and approved by the Public Service Commission‖ appearing immediately after the words ―the Auditor-General‖."
