    "content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I want to oppose this amendment. First, I know that the Office of the Auditor-General requires proper funding but we must also make Committees of Parliament do their work within the current law. Once the Cabinet Secretary gets the Estimates as at now, they will still come to the relevant Committee of Parliament. Therefore the relevant Committee of Parliament, within the law, has the capacity to vary the figures based on discussion but if we make all agencies to be sending their budgets directly to Parliament, we have a problem in that there will be no need for the Executive and Treasury. I do not agree with this amendment."
