    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, regarding the issue raised by Sen. Wetangula, we are seeking a Statement as a House from the Attorney-General in his official capacity. However, at the level of the Committee, we will make recommendations. Part of those recommendations will be to recommend the prosecution and sacking of those officers who are intimidating others, in accordance with the Constitution. That is really clear. As you said, you have no power to direct the IG of police with regard to the security of the commissioners. I remember at one time in this House, the Speaker directed that certain issues be addressed from the Chair. That was a matter relating to Turkana. It was a security issue. It would be quite unfortunate if after some public officers have raised concerns about their state of security with a Senate Committee, it forwards the same to the House and tomorrow we hear of unfortunate situations. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is, therefore important that you direct or urge that the IG of police is properly advised to enhance the security of the commissioners so that their safety and security is secured.
