"content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, another idea that has come and may be taken along is--- I want to commend the Government for the effort it has made to ensure that many as Kenyans as possible go to university. We only had the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University some time back. However, the Government is encouraging as many Kenyans as possible to have university education. They have set up these institutions where people go for--- Like the teachers are now undertaking programs during the vacation period. You will find them in very many places; they are all over Nairobi. It is a commendable idea, but it is something that the Minister also needs to address so that we can formalize the places where they go for classes because like those who take courses at--- Some of them attend classes at the Kenya Water Institute (KEWI) and share the facilities with the students who take diploma courses. There are others at the Railway Training Institute. It is high time we designed--- The Railway Training Institute and the KEWI are close to one another. You can check what these institutes are doing, amalgamate them and have them in one place. After that you can create this as an institution for higher learning for those who can even continue. It is not only the teachers on vacations who should go there. We also have Kenyans who work in this City and would like to go for higher education. So, those facilities can be opened the whole year so that they attend those courses."
