Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg the House to reject this amendment from the Senate based on the fact that the National Environmental Management Authority (NEMA) is a national body mandated to perform national functions in accordance with the Fourth Schedule to the Constitution. Therefore, there is no policy or legal basis on which the Council of Governors should be represented in this body. I beg that we reject this amendment."
