    "content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, I beg to reply. (a) On 4th April, 2011, at about 10.00 p.m., Yunis Anyango, aged 35 years and her daughter, Benta Atieno Odhiambo, aged 18 years, a Standard Eight pupil at Ndori Primary School were in their house at Yimbo East Location when they were attacked by a gang of three armed with pangas and other crude weapons. The attackers were suspected to be cattle rustlers. Yunis Anyango sustained several sharp cuts and died on the spot. Her daughter Benta Atieno Odhiambo sustained multiple panga cuts and is admitted at the Nyanza Provincial General Hospital where she is undergoing treatment. An inquest file No.7/2011 was opened at Pap Onditi Police Station and the matter is under investigation. (b) A total of 13 persons have been killed in similar circumstances since 2008. However, there were no incidences of a similar nature reported in Ainamoi and Belgut since 2008. I wish to table a list of the victims, the circumstances under which they were killed and the status of the cases so far."
