Members, you will recall that on Tuesday, 21st April, 2015, the House adopted the Report of the Budget and Appropriations Committee on the Division of Revenue Bill, 2015 and also rejected Senate Amendments to the Division of Revenue Bill, 2015. As you all know, Article 112 (2)(b) of the Constitution, requires that if the National Assembly, being the originating House, reconsiders a Bill referred back to it by the Senate and rejects the Bill as amended by the Senate, the Bill shall be referred to a Mediation Committee appointed under Article 113. Hon. Members, in this regard, having consulted with the Leader of the Majority Party and the Leader of the Minority Party, and in accordance with Article 113(1) of the Constitution, I have appointed the following Members to be members of the Mediation Committee in the National Assembly on the said Bill."
