I rise to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Committee on Health regarding the opening of a new multi- million shillings Battery Assembly Factory in Naivasha that has raised concern among the residents of the area in Nyamathi which borders Maraigushu. This is in the backdrop of the negative effects of lead in a community in Mombasa. In the Statement, the Chairperson should address the following:- (a) State whether the risks and dangers involved have been evaluated and explained to the residents?
