Temporary Deputy Chairman, I beg to move:- THAT, Clause 2 of the Bill be amended— (a) in the definition of the term “contractor” by inserting the words “and includes the main contractor” immediately after the words “procuring entity”; (b) by inserting the following definitions in the proper alphabetical sequence— “domestic sub-contractor” means a person selected by the contractor or main contractor to carry out part of the works; “nominated sub-contractor” means a person selected directly by the procuring entity through a tender process to carry out an element of the works; Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I was basically talking about the definitions of “consultancy services”, “design competition”, “disadvantaged group”, “works”, “commissioning”, then “writing” where I am introducing “writing” to include facsimile. That was all."
