Before we take statements, I wish to recognise the presence of the pupils and teachers from St. Theresa’s Tartar Girls High School from West Pokot County seated in the Public Gallery who are visiting the Senate this afternoon. As you all know, hon. Senators, the tradition of receiving and welcoming visitors to Parliament is a long time tradition and one we shall endeavor to continue upholding. Of course, they come from a county neighbouring my home county. On behalf of the Senate and on my own behalf, I extend a warm welcome to the pupils and teachers of St. Theresa’s Tartar Girls High School. Thank you."
