Temporary Deputy Chairman, the proposed amendment is to delete the word, “Designated State Officer”, the definition of “retired Designated State Officer” and the words “retired Speaker” because we agreed to first define the officers by name. We have defined the office of the Speaker, former Prime Minister and Vice President. Therefore, the word, “designated” is irrelevant. That is what this amendment seeks to achieve. The amendment is also proposing to delete the definition of “Speaker” because now you have already put the Speaker who is defined in the Constitution. So, you do not need to again define it. That is what our Committee agreed on."
