    "content": "On the same breath, I urge the Attorney-General to advise the Government accordingly because that is his main role. I am very sure that he will do justice to those retired teachers. I will be happy when I hear that the Government has started settling down those payments. Going by the budgets that have been passed here, Kshs42 billion is not money that the Government cannot afford to pay, especially bearing in mind the fact that the retired teachers are willing to receive the payment in instalments. In the appeal that the Government filed against the decision of the High Court, they argued that the legal interpretation approach adopted by the High Court amounted to the exercise of legislative power by the court. Now, the House will have spoken. That is our power."
