Deputy Speaker, I beg to move:- THAT, this House adopts the Special Report of the Public Investments Committee on the Procurement Process of the Kenya Pipeline Company Ltd Line 1 Capacity Enhancement Project (Mombasa – Nairobi Pipeline), laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, 10th February, 2015. The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) is a State corporation established on 6th September, 1973 under the Companies Act, Cap. 486 of the Laws of Kenya. The main objective of setting up this company was to provide an efficient, reliable, safe and cost effective means of transporting petroleum products from the Port of Mombasa to the hinterland, eventually to the other parts of East Africa, and now to parts of North and Central Africa. In pursuit of this objective, the company constructed a pipeline network, The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
