    "content": "Thank you once again, Madam Temporary Speaker. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.45(2)(b) to seek a Statement from the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare regarding the new National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) rates. In the Statement, the Chairperson should:- (1) explain the efforts by the NHIF management to educate the public on the benefits of the new enhanced contributions; (2) explain the process of ensuring proper implementation of the new contributions; (3) explain the process of claiming benefits; and, (4) explain how the NHIF management plans to improve healthcare provision in the country, given that hospitals that are supposed to provide the services under the Fund are not well equipped and staffed."
