As has been mentioned by the Majority Whip when he was moving, the Senate proposed nine amendments to nine clauses, that is 5, 11, 19, 24, 26, 32, 39, 40 and 41. My Committee sat in the morning pursuant to the Speaker’s ruling and we went through all those amendments. We did agree with the Senate in some amendments. We also did disagree with the Senate in some of their proposed amendments. I will go to details which I will ask Members to support or reject at the relevant stage of the House. By and large, my Committee was reasonable to agree with what is not material. The Committee agreed to clause 5 (b) because the Senate was just trying to be more specific in their reference to the Constitution.
