    "content": "I will, hon. Speaker. I think the amendment which has been brought hampers the oversight role of the Senate. We had provided them with Kshs1billion and they were ready to play the oversight role. Despite the fact that the money has been withdrawn, I hope that they will still play the oversight roles against the county assemblies and the county executives. I hope that they will not have an excuse and say that since the money was withdrawn, they will not be able to play this role. Hon. Speaker, with those few remarks, I support the amendment."
