"content": "Thank you, hon. Speaker for giving me this opportunity. I also want to add my voice in congratulating the Chairman and his team of the Budget and Appropriations Committee for a job well done. Whereas I know budget-making is not an easy thing, I just want to mention that it is very important for us and I agree with the Chairman that this requires more time for us to have dealt with the issues which are coming up. Hon. Speaker, it is pretty obvious that money has been allocated to the different departments but I just want to point out a few areas which I think, maybe in future we have to do something about. For example, the National Gender and Equality Commission where only Kshs314 million was allocated, I thought at this time, more so when we are The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly. A certified version of this Report can be obtained from the Hansard Editor."
