"content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker, for giving me this opportunity. Like my colleagues, I also support the Bill. We have many Kenyans who are suffering in foreign lands. Most of the times, they are in jail or in custody not because they are guilty, but because of racial, religious and other kinds of prejudices. This new law will ensure that they serve their sentences at home where they are near to their people. They will be in their country. I believe the sentences will be softer on them. Everybody knows that Kenyans are suffering in the Middle East. They are suffering false imprisonment and all the prejudices that I have mentioned. The worst part is that nobody can assist them. Their own families cannot visit them because of financial constraints. Kenya should do more than it is currently doing.
