The Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) are a critical part of the private sector, and are the best source of new products and innovation that will anchor our future growth. Their development is unfortunately hindered by lack of capital since they are considered by banks to be high risk investment targets. In addition, SMEs are constrained by limited market access, poor infrastructure, inadequate knowledge and skills, rapid technology changes and unfavourable laws and regulations."
