    "content": "Thank you very much, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker for the opportunity to contribute to this Report. From the outset, I strongly support this Report by the PIC. This is because it has come out very strongly in its recommendations. It has not beaten around the bush like other probes that have taken place. All over the world, privatisation and reorganisation is supposed to increase efficiency and productivity, and move the government out of production of goods and services. However, what has happened all over the world, for example in Eastern Europe, is that there are people who have placed themselves strategically to strip the assets of the institution being privatised. This has been the case in Kenya. People have placed themselves strategically not to help the country grow economically or move forward and move the Government out of production of goods and services, but rather to strip the assets and laugh all the way to the bank.
