"content": "Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman, I support this amendment. I can give you several cases where I have been in conflict with auditors. At one time when I was privatising the Kenya Airways, they said that for a loan that was guaranteed by the Government to be written off and for the Government to pay it, I needed to go back to the House after the House approved the guarantees. I asked them where it was written and they told me it was a policy matter based on sound accounting principles. I said if it was not in the law, I would go ahead and I did and they could not criticise it."
