The National Treasury keeps on saying that the debt is still within manageable levels. But it is important that, as we move forward, we keenly monitor public debt.This is an area which, if we do not monitor keenly, we can auction our future generations. It is very important that we have a balance between the current and future generation in terms of repayment of those debts."
