Temporary Deputy Speaker, on having them armed with guns, we can have Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) where the National Youth Service (NYS) can even train some of these people on the basics before they are trained on how to use guns. Once they are armed, then they can deal with insecurity in our country. I do not want to belabour the point but it is high time we brought some amendments so that we can improve the welfare of these private security personnel. They should not only be well taken care of but they should also be well-equipped. They should be provided with the right clothing to keep them warm especially at night."
