Deputy Speaker, we have always known our informal security persons to take care of our property and very important premises in our country yet we do not have a regulator to check whether they are qualified to do what they are assigned to do, and whether they are qualified to understand the importance of the role they are playing. The proposed Private Security Service Authority will take care of the welfare of security personnel who are recruited. It will take care of their welfare like provision of uniforms, wages and their working conditions in general including their medical subscriptions or provisions. We also need to look at their aptitude whether they are people who can be relied upon; whether they are people who are honest and who can be entrusted with information and the work they are doing.
