It is one of the instruments upon which we are able to exercise our mandate under Article 96 of the Constitution. The issues raised, including the one raised by Sen. Karaba, is that it may end up making the Senate just morticians because we are not able to deal with real issues. We are dealing with an issue long after mistakes have been committed. I am sure you have heard the sentiments by Members and you do know the timelines you have given us. However, I hope we will get these reports so that your Committee can get to work and give us the necessary reports as your mandate requires."
