"content": "on Friday. If Bura Girls High School is, indeed, a public school, irrespective of whether the sponsor is the Catholic Church, it remains a public school. If it is a private school, that is totally different. So, there is need for religious tolerance in this country. By the way, the Committee should not look at this isolated case. There have been previous such cases that need to be looked into. Maybe, a policy needs to be developed for all public schools regarding how they should relate with the sponsors, because there is a problem. Some sponsors do not want principals who profess to other faiths to head schools they sponsor, even if such principals are the best. They chase them away saying: “This is our school; you cannot come here.” Something needs to be done."
