    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Education and the Vice Chancellor of the affected university are still working on the Statement from Sen. Madzayo, whom I have already talked to. We have continued to receive Statements and I thought this was one of them. We are still waiting for the Statement but we have agreed with the Senator that we wait until the Cabinet Secretary comes to the Senate, a ruling which was made last week by our then Speaker. This is a teething problem not only in Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) but in many other universities where lecturers have not been paid their allowances. We have agreed with the Senator concerned. Therefore, we are going to wait until he comes to the House."
