    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Speaker. I stand to second this amendment. The import of this amendment is to put the issue of remuneration of police officers as part of the Motion. I totally agree with him because issues of police have been a big issue in this country for many years. One of the issues that the new Constitution that was promulgated in 2010 was to address was police service. Kenyans have been having problems with police service. There are reforms that were envisaged in that Constitution, by the creation of a new office in the name of Inspector-General of Police. As you are aware, since Independence, the police force has been presided over by a police commissioner. The Office of the Inspector-General of Police was created in the Constitution as part of the reforms to make police service better, so that they can provide quality services to Kenyans."
