"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, this is a very important matter to the Government. As I have said earlier, I wish to inform the House that the government is serious in terms of dealing with boundary disputes. I read in the statement that there is an office that is established to look at these particular issues. Pertaining to the Migingo Island, let me inform this House that two weeks ago, we had a meeting with the Cabinet Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Trade to discuss the Petition before the Committee on Migingo Island and the challenges faced by fishermen around Migingo and Busia. We were informed that Kenya is ready to implement the decisions that were made then. Unfortunately, Uganda did not have the finances to carry out the survey and The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposes only.
