"content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support this Bill. It is coming to help better a bad law. The wrangles that we saw in the last few months at the EACC were clearly caused by the architecture of the current law, where there were two centers of power. Further, there was a situation where you had very limited mandate and functions of the commissioners, yet they were permanent holders, and would go to the office every day. Since they were idle, they obviously tried to interfere with the mandate and the turf of the secretariat. I congratulate the Committee for quickly seeing the problem and trying to eradicate it."
