"content": "Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I stand to support the Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (Amendment) Bill because in the first place, even as much as we say that there is a statement that it is going to involve additional expenditure, this is going to be a cost saving measure. I support what Hon. Jakoyo Midiwo has just said about the numbers because the idea was to have between four and nine Commissioners in all commissions. It was at the time when we were fighting for change trying reduce the powers at the centre and giving them to other institutions, which we hoped were going to take care of what was to be the future of this country. Unfortunately, everybody who has been running for jobs in these commissions is for the kind of perks that they can get."
