    "content": "Thank you, Hon. Temporary Deputy Chairman. I do not want to say that it is not a good day for my sister but, like my colleagues before me have done, I have to oppose this amendment. We are looking for an anti-corruption agency which is independent and completely removed from encumbrances by allowing the PSC to be the one recruiting the Chairperson of the Commission. The Commissioners shall be indebted to PSC and the PSC is one of the bodies that those commissioners may be required to go after. To safeguard the independence of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), we need to remove them from this kind of approach where PSC is employing the commissioners. I oppose the amendment.
