    "content": "Hon. Deputy Speaker, as you know, we extended the time of the Judges and Magistrates Vetting Board for two years from last year. Therefore, their time will expire on 31st December, 2015. This House has expressed itself very clearly that they must conclude the process within that time. Therefore, the Committee has considered this matter. There are two reasons why we are seeking the deletion of that sub-section. Firstly, the Tenth Parliament, in their wisdom, decided that all the judges, magistrates and principal magistrates must be vetted by 28th March 2013. That was to allow those magistrates and judges who were going to handle petitions to go through the process. Unfortunately, that did not happen. There are 29 chief magistrates and principal magistrates who have not been vetted because their time came and passed before they were vetted. This group of magistrates and principal magistrates remains outstanding to date."
